You can still access the IMVU classic launcher. The only downsides are that the new devs have neglected it so much that it's severely outdated and crashes if you dont regularly clear the cache. Kinda killed my liking for IMVU anymore, well.. aside from the fact you now have to pay in order to have over 5 avatar look folders.
5 de dez. de 2022 · Basically they wanted to improve the 3D of IMVU to get it more on par with second life. The problem they found was that classic is so old (10 years old or so) that it's running on libraries and systems that are now obsolete. Yes, it runs, but it made it impossible for them to improve.
I understand that Mac can no longer use the classic client, however there are windows users who still need to because they cannot support the IMVU Next version on their computers because it's not up to date. A good portion of IMVU Classic users are using the Classic Client because it's the only version they can run.
IMVU Classic Client is more enjoyable to a lot of people & Organized. And we love the Shop on there that allow us to see Icons upfront less of A struggle shopping for people with sense of fashion & wanna see what they're buying even got A better selective inventory without the Grey mannequin showing A crumb of the products like IMVU BETA/Mobile.

To switch to the old interface, you have to click your avatar name’s icon on the upper right hand corner and on the dropdown that will appear, scroll to where it gives you the option to switch to Classic ...
When I login I see "NOT CONNECTED" in red letters.. When I try to enter a room, it loads very well, I can see my avatar in the room but a message pops up saying there is a problem and the room closes out.
17 de mai. de 2019 · I am one of the old users who registered in IMVU over ten years ago so of course there is some nostalgia in Classic for me, yet I believe I have valid reasons to still want Classic updated properly, along with its downloadable desktop client. It still has the most features of this 3D metaverse. IMVU Classic has: Pulse. Badges.
Since I joined imvu I've always been on the classic client. Now when it's gone I will not have any reason to log back on imvu anymore. There is alot of people from imvu already moved on to second life and never came back because of various issues on imvu. Retiring the classic client will just make imvu lose way more people.
