Download FRAPS 3! Fraps has been updated with new features, many bug fixes, and an improved interface. It doesn't cost anything to get the latest version. Free users can download Fraps 3 from the download page. Registered users can get the latest full version from the Members Area.
The Fraps codec (FPS1) is put on the system when you install Fraps. If you've reinstalled Windows you will also need to reinstall Fraps in order to play back your movies. Please keep in mind that if you want to give your raw footage to another person they will also need to have Fraps installed.

Please be aware that the minimum system requirements have changed in Fraps 3.5.0. We now require a CPU with SSE2 instructions (Pentium 4 & above). Windows XP or higher is also now required. If you have an older system (Win2K or non-SSE2 CPU) you can still download the previous Fraps 3.4.7 release from the download page.
