Distrowatch is a good site that provides a valuable service for people wanting to learn about Linux.

The problem lies on your system not properly configured to reach the service provider's "DNS Server". So call your provider and ask the correct IP numbers of dns servers. Then configure connection with proper IP addresses. In my system it is simple as editing /etc/rc.d/rc.inte1.conf or launch the WICD and enter the IP numbers into the config tabs.

3 de mai. de 2016 · Most of the time when your md5sum doesn't match it is because something went wrong during the download and given the amount of data you are downloading, it's always a good idea to check. If you installed Slackware using the iso with the mismatched md5sums, I'd suggest you download it again and reinstall. yancek.

You probably won't be able to email from your server if it's running on the block-listed IP address, and distrowatch is using one or more of those RBLs. Also, your DNS must be OK, else your traceroute would not have found the IP address from the domain name. That your IP doesn't change doesn't mean it's static.
