Diazepam Tablets help in the treatment of anxiety, muscle spasms and convulsions (fits).

Diazepam 10mg is a round flat, pale blue tablet with bevelled edges and a scoreline, and is embossed Tensium. All three strengths are available in containers of 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 tablets. Diazepam belongs to a group of medicines, the benzodiazepines that slow down the nervous system and are known as Central Nervous System (CNS) depressants.
Typically Diazepam will not be prescribed for more than 4 weeks. Adults: Anxiety: Typical dose is 2 mg three times a day. This can be increased to 15-30 mg daily in divided doses. Insomnia in association with anxiety: Typical dose is 5-15 mg at bedtime. Muscle spasms: Typical dose is 2-15 mg daily in divided doses.
