  3. Copernicus is the Earth Observation component of the European Union’s space programme, looking at our planet and its environment for the benefit of Europe’s citizens.

  5. Copernicus is the Earth observation component of the European Union’s Space programme. It provides accurate, timely and easily accessible information to improve the management of the environment, understand and mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure civil security.

  6. Two access points to Copernicus satellite data are managed by ESA: Copernicus Open Access Hub. Previously known as Sentinels Scientific Data Hub, the portal provides access to Sentinel data through an interactive graphical user interface.

  7. Since 2021, Copernicus is a component of the EU Space Programme, which aims to bolster the EU Space policy in the fields of Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation, Connectivity, Space Research and Innovation and supports investments in critical infrastructure and disruptive technologies.
