APPA is a forum for privacy authorities in the Asia Pacific region. It gives privacy authorities in the region an opportunity to form partnerships, discuss best practices and share information on emerging technology, trends and changes to privacy regulation.
Over the two days, APPA members and invited guests discussed global privacy trends, exchanged domestic experiences and sought opportunities for cooperation on education and enforcement activities across the Asia Pacific Region. Policy on APPA sessions and attendees. At the 46th APPA Forum members adopted a proposal to introduce a members-only session into the APPA Forums, and instructed the Secretariat to prepare a policy setting out the types of sessions at APPA Forums and to circulate that policy to APPA members. 22 de jun. de 2021 · The Forum concluded with the release of the APPA 55 Communiqué, a presentation on APPA 56, closing remarks from the APPA Secretariat and PIPC Korea. Commissioner arrivals and departures Ms. Blanca Lilia Ibarra Cadena as Commissioner President for the 2020-2023 period, replacing Dr. Francisco Javier Acuna Llamas who will continue as Commissioner until March 31, 2023.

13 de jul. de 2022 · In addition, the issue of cross-border data flows remains an important topic for APPA members in their discussion. APPA members highlighted that data privacy protection should not be undermined in any arrangement, and sufficient safeguard of individuals’ data should always be maintained.
