Male lowland raptor from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Velociraptor is the first dinosaur seen in Jurassic Park. The first scene features a raptor being transported into the paddock. In the second half of the movie, the raptors break out of their pen and are the main threat that stands between the humans and their means of escaping the island.

Velociraptor/Films. "Clever girl." The Velociraptor is 3 to 5 meter long, 1.7 meter tall dromaeosaurid theropod carnivore that appears in all Jurassic Park films and film-based media. The Raptors are the main antagonists of the first film and the secondary antagonists of the second and third films.
Raptors are also featured in Crichton's sequel novel The Lost World and its film adaptation The Lost World: Jurassic Park, both taking place at InGen's abandoned site on Isla Sorna. The raptors again terrorize and kill several characters.
Plot. Four years after the events on Isla Nublar, [a] a British family anchored their yacht offshore at the nearby Isla Sorna, unaware that the island contains genetically engineered dinosaurs. Their daughter, Cathy Bowman, wanders off and is attacked by a group of Compsognathus.
19 de jan. de 2014 · A velociraptor appears in the very first scene in Jurassic Park when Muldoon and his team try to bring a female into the park. It attacks one of the team members and they are forced to shoot it.
Muldoon, along with Dr. Gerald Harding and the surviving workmen, are the only characters not mentioned by name in the novel's sequel, The Lost World. This is fascinating, considering Ed James is finding dirt on everyone that was on Nublar during the events of the first novel.
