It is a security issue. If you look at the console in the browser it throws a CORS violation which happens when a website tries to communicate with a different domain name it isn't allowed to. This is meant to keep websites from getting hacked and transmitting your data to rogue sites.

I tried using a VPN (Nord), NOT using a VPN, changing browsers, using the /flushdns command, and a clean browser. Keep in mind this happens with every Sony website I try to log into, even that Sony Rewards page gives me the same issue as per my testing.

Had 4 charges in the last few weeks for $6.95 and one for $134.95 from PlayStation Network London!!!! Plus overseas currency conversion fees. Have had to cancel card and lodge a dispute with them through NAB.
Thanks for the tip. I deleted my saved Playstation and Sony passwords from the manager in Firefox, then temporarily disabled the option to ask for or save new passwords. After that I manually logged into the Sony Blog and Playstation Store before re-enabling the option to store new passwords (for other sites other than Sony sites).
You need to go to your advance settings (go to your WiFi and click the start button/three lined button) and manually change it. Cloudflare primary is 1.1.1.1 and the secondary is 1.0.0.1. thank you ! ill try that. Just faced this today, switching to mobile hotspot worked.
And the PlayStation support in Poland was a phone number I had to buy Skype credits to be able to call. Eventually, someone answered the phone. And luckily for me, I kept my Playstation 4 even when I bought the 5, so I read off my serial number, and 2 step verification was removed from my account.
I set up a passkey. All was good. Easy! Then I went to sign into the PS App again. It required me to re-auth (as I created a passkey), when I tap 'Sign in with passkey' on the PLAYSTATION APP, it tells me 'This app does not support sign in with Passkey'. Great rollout on this Sony.
