Splat version #4. 2002–2009. In 2003, the main design of the splat changed from a cartoonish style to a more realistic look. Its earliest debut was in the Nickmas commercial in December 2002. According to the Orange Book branding manual, some of these versions have names (i.e. "Armpit Fart", "Kapow!", "Pink Lemonade").
