Apple ended major update support for these models of iPad in September 2019 - although they continue to receive occasional “point” security updates, the most recent being released January 2023.
2 de jan. de 2022 · ipad mini 2 will not update past IOS 12.5 My wife's ipad mini will not update beyond IOS 12.5? I have tried resetting it, turning it off and restarting, plugging it into mac to try and updated it that way but nothing will work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
10 de abr. de 2020 · These old iPad 2, 3, 4 and 1st gen iPad Mini models are nearing 8 and 9-years old, now. As of the beginning of 2019, many, MANY third party app developers are all more quickly and completely dropping older app support for all old 7, 8 and 9-year iPads that are running 2-3 year old and earlier iOS versions ( iOS 10 and earlier ).

I want it to run iOS 13 because I need an app for school that only runs on iOS 13 or later, but when I try to update, even plugged into a desktop Mac, it says that I’m running the current version of the software and I can’t update it.

Apple ended major update support for these models of iPad in September 2019 - although they since continue to receive “point” security updates - the most recent being released just recently.
6 de jun. de 2020 · The cheapest, baseline 2019, 10.2 inch screen 7th gen Apple iPads have a 1/2 inch larger retina screen, it is overall lighter, in weight, newer, more powerful and approx. 2-1/2 times faster 2.3 Ghz, A10 Fusion processor ( CPU ), AT LEAST 3-4 times the internal RAM, with the 2019, 7th gen iPad having 3 GBs of internal RAM, iPadOS 13 support, with much better and improved multitasking features ...

The mini2, in common with older models of iPad, lacks the specific screen hardware with which the Apple Pencil interacts. 23 de jul. de 2023 · Can’t log with Apple ID on my iPad mini with IOS 12.5.7 I removed my iPad mini from my devices list as I am having trouble with the home app (not syncing and not receiving any invites with the new updated iOS). On my iPad mini, I signed back in and the home app seemed to received invites but it not sync.
