Perhaps you should try the ":drag to change route" feature in Basecamp by using the Insert tool to drag the route and insert via points. You don't have to mess around with Google Maps, Google Earth or any other mapping program. The route is created directly in Basecamp using the same map that you will be using to navigate it.
Fixed BaseCamp incorrectly showing certain maps on card or device as locked. Fixed route via departure dates not always showing as expected on the Route Properties dialog. Fixed routes created in BaseCamp not displaying lane assist and junction views on some nuvi devices. Fixed geocaches not correctly showing as found on Oregon devices.
Due to a risk of data corruption BaseCamp 3.0.3 has been pulled off of our web site. Right now we are evaluating if we will re-publish 3.0.2 or just push forward with a new version. Outside of this unexpected issue, the top post in the forum will always have links to the latest download. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Former Member over 11 years ago. This might be the same as "Fighting City Hall" but for the user of Garmin GPS for about 11 years and the MapSource Product, BaseCamp is not an equal replacement. First of all, MapSource is more intuitive and easier to navigate on my pc, which I do all of my route planning. Second, I am able to store separate files.
User. Mac/Windows Software. Basecamp Windows. Installing Maps from GPS to Basecamp. Due to a computer crash, I lost the installed Europe map, which was the same as the map installed on the GPS (BMW NAV IV.) Is there any way of extracting the map from the GPS, and installing it on the computer? Thanks for any assistance. Best regards.
BaseCamp is 4.5.2 now available and can be downloaded here: Installation of this version will overwrite your previous BaseCamp installation. Post here if you have questions. The non-English language version of the software will be available through the in-application software update check shortly. Please post any bugs you may find here.
BaseCamp and MapSource recognize the same vector maps. Only BaseCamp recognizes raster maps, however. And while the map you link to is "transparent", and will overlay another map on a GPSr, all you will see in MapSource or BaseCamp is the single map of county borders.

We believe this release to be reasonably stable, but it is a Beta, so there are definitely some quirks to be expected. If you do find any bugs, crashes or have input of any kind, please let us know.
20 de mar. de 2024 · I have BaseCamp on both Win10 and Win11 PCs. No difference between them and certainly not slow. If you're reading the Garmin map from your device that may be slow, the solution is to use Express and install the map to your PC, although even when I use the map from a device I don't experience the type of performance you're describing.
