Speeds vary depending on which server it connects to and how busy they are. I prefer the results from Ookla, real world results are probably closer to Google, and Testmy.net seems slower than the rest. astalush.
21 de dez. de 2021 · Type "speedtest" and the test runs and displays the result. As the test bypasses the browser, it is free of effects from scripts and such. Connect your PC to your internet output by Ethernet (No Wifi). That way you know what the ISP is providing to you. 2.
20 de set. de 2021 · I've done OOkla speed tests before, and they usually are just about 50 MB (0.05 GB). Today I noticed I lost 5G when I went into a big building so I did a test, and later in the parking lot ran the same test. Both tests ran quickly on my Galaxy S21, no issues. When I got home, I opened my Mint account and 1GB is gone.
28 de out. de 2021 · A bit of explanation on how ookla works. Ookla Speedtest measures last mile (Yung connection mo to PLDT or whichever ISP) speed. Usually, Yung test servers are housed with the ISP. Essentially, it gives you an idea Kung ano ung max bandwidth na talagang nakalaan Para sayo. Yung actual speed when connecting to services, depende yan per service.
That’s not cheating the tests. An ISP having their own server shows you the speeds they are delivering to your home which is the only part they can control. With fiber there's no bottleneck between the user and the ISP, you can literally have 1 Mbps for everything beyond the ISP and still get 1 Gbps in the Ookla test.
So the most accurate speed test (and the only one that gives me 1gb) is done by the ISP itself. Next best is having a powerful server very close by. That is done by Ookla, SpeedOfMe and Google. There are very few hops between those servers and my computer so the speed loss is not that great. Fast measures speed from Netflix servers.
To be more specific, the Starlink speed test reports the speeds between you and the Starlink gateway only. This is the true speed of your connection and only reports on the Starlink equipment speeds. Ookla measures the speeds between your device (laptop, console, etc.) and some other server out there in the Internet.

27 de set. de 2022 · my idle latency is around 6-10ms but during the download test it shows the download latency anywhere between 300-500ms whilst the upload latency stays at a steady 9ms. i'm on wired and get about 400mb down and 50mb up. I'm not having any real issues that i can see but i'm wondering if the download latency is indicating an issue somewhere.
You pay for a 200mb at the least package. Hence why you speed test for 215-250. Check your settings, change your dns on devices, if wireless change the channel or ditch the shit virgin WiFi and get a stand-alone ap. Best way to get a real speedtest is to do it thru a good VPN.
