Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan.

30 de ago. de 2007 · Thanks to some dedicated work by qwertymodo, Snes9x 1.55 now has MSU-1 support, including the MSU-1 distribution pack. The MSU-1 is an SNES expansion chip invented by byuu (author of higan ), you can find some more information about it here .

30 de ago. de 2007 · Code: Select all Snes9x 1.54 - Changed the S-SMP core module to one written by byuu. (byuu, BearOso) This has the effect of increased accuracy, fewer speed hacks, but also regresses a few speed-hack games.
Snes9x v1.5 has been released Tons and tons of internal core changes were made to make Snes9x way better than before, and work on more platforms than before. Unforunetly since the Windows port is radically different than every other port of Snes9x, and no one cared to maintain the Windows port, this release will not have a Windows port.
30 de ago. de 2007 · Snes9x 1.57 has been released. Changes include a big update to the libretro port, several accuracy fixes, a few new features, and some deprecations. Support for xml HLSL shaders in the Windows port and xml GLSL shaders in the GTK+ port has been removed.
