I'm super duper late but here's a little guide for those who want to play the enhanced edition of Silent Hill 2 (Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition) meant for PC. Begin by navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\ create a folder "Konami" and then "Silent Hill 2" inside of "Konami".
5 de mar. de 2021 · Personally, I would recommend these ways to play for each game: Silent Hill 1: Emulation through Beetle HW/ RetroArch. Silent Hill 2: Using the Enhanced Edition on PC. Silent Hill 3: Emulation through PCSX2. Silent Hill 4: Buying the gog release and emulating the PS2 version through PCSX2.

However, people have created a mod of the PC version called the Enhanced Edition, which aims to fix a lot of the issues of the PC build (it was missing fog and a lot of post processing effects that the PS2 version had), while also ...
The pal versions of Silent Hill 2 through 4 got physical pc versions but they go for almost 100 a piece. 2 and 3 haven't been released in digital for only SH4 is in GOG. I'll say get them on myabandonware and get the enhanced version mod.
Gotta go into affinity though and knock your pc down so it's running on only one core though. See "useful links" in the sidebar. You can play It but you have to put the pc to work on only one core, dont work well with dual or quad Core. You can put also a HD textures pack.
2 de nov. de 2020 · Silent Hill 2 on PC is perfect now. Amazing work. I don't prefer some changes from the image overhaul, but overall I highly dig this update and improvement. Would love to see some restaurations back to the old artstyle for those street and warning signs especially. Inventory items overhaul are for me though.

It does NOT contain the enhanced version. All you need to do is follow the two-step section called "How to play Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams" just under the sinopsis here:

2 de dez. de 2020 · If you are already primarily a PC gamer, use the enhanced edition. Otherwise I’d sooner recommend the PS2 original, it’s the best experience really. The other upside is you get access to four other silent hill games on one console (3, 4, origins and shattered memories). With PS1 support, you can add SH1 to that list as well.
