If it is mostly writing related tasks, have a look at Obsidian. It is similar to Roam Research and works offline. I use Bear and the fact that Notion doesn’t have offline support is stopping me from migrating over completely. I hate the name but TiddlyWiki is the stable and infinitely customizable alternative to Roam Research.

That's it. unfortunattly, the text is not editable. Notion with no good export is like a Ferrari with Renault 4L tires.....

12 de fev. de 2021 · More teams/workspaces than Notion: The regular plan offers more flexibility for managing multiple projects than Notion. This is why I originally looked at Notion alternatives in the first place when they changed the subscription rates. Live editing + collaboration: Super useful if you want to collaborate on documents in real-time.
13 de nov. de 2018 · I think the advantage of the desktop version is if you are entirely offline you can still use it. Maybe try something like Station which now has Notion integration. It’s the same as the Notion desktop app but has a load of other apps at a touch and doesn’t take up too many resources to keep it running! 👍🏼.

I really like Notion and it is probably one of the best note taking/ life management app I have ever used. But there is a problem, the desktop version (on MacOS) is poorly built. SiYuan is a perfect local alternative to notion. First of all, it's a local-first open source freeware. It can nest lists, toggle lists, and has a focus feature similar to outline note software. It also nests blocks, collapses blocks and headings, and focus blocks.
23 de fev. de 2020 · Notion is WYSIWYG. Obsidian is great in concept but when I say it’s clunky im talking about friction for the average joe who doesn’t know markdown. It’s text based and not very intuitive, whereas notion is click/drag/right-click etc. As far as my thing goes, it’s not finished yet, still figuring it out but happy to post updates here.
