  1. 21 de jul. de 2012 · I have all my ISOs in folders and they were working before but I'm not sure why they aren't anymore. When I try to load a game this is what I see on the Booting PS2 Bios page that pops up automatically with PCSX2: PCSX2 0.9.8.r4600 - compiled on Apr 27 2011 Savestate version: 0x9a010000 Host Machine Init:

  2. 28 de mai. de 2011 · MDS/MDF is 100% copy (including copy protection data and so on),ISO can't save such thing but there is no such thing in PS2 games anyway. Quote: ISO - is a generic reliable image file format. It is pretty much useless when copy protection comes into the picture. MDF/MDS - Alcohol Softs own image format.

  4. 28 de mar. de 2016 · I want to see whether or not the original PS2 version has the handler, or if it'll just fall apart before I share my findings. EDIT: So, after comparing my recompiled ISO to the stock in Apache, I've noticed things aren't in the same order. I'll try recomiling with Apache and see if I can get that to run. EDIT2: No dice.

It will make it a lot easier, then you can repack it into an ISO. Since you are trying to mod a Final Fantasy game, you could probably find tools somewhere on the internet to even crack open files.

  6. 10 de nov. de 2012 · The primary goal of PCSX2 is to emulate the playstation 2, the main part of that being, playing ps2 games. We might in the distant future have PS1 support, but it seems kind of odd to want to emulate a system on an emulator emulating it. It would be far more lucrative to just use an existing PS1 emulator like PCSX or ePSXe or one of the many ...

  7. 20 de nov. de 2014 · I am running a hyperspin front end and the ps2 loading times are just so slow, but I don't have enough HD space for ISOs. Will there ever be support for wbfs files for pcsx2? That has been great for Wii because you get a file that is usually smaller than the compressed one and it loads instantaneously.

  8. 14 de out. de 2009 · Hi all - I just got into playstation2 emulation, with my old PS2 slowly working itself to death and my serious lack of motivation to buy yet another one. I got version 0.9.6 downloaded, installed, and configured, and I'm kind of at a wall. I have all my games as .iso files, mounted in virtual drives.

  9. 4 de fev. de 2017 · The compression ratio depends on the file. I think on average you save about 30% for PS2 ISO files, but it could be more or less. CSO compression ratios are similar to gzip. Whether it's worth it or not is up to you. If it saves 1-2G per ISO then it can save 100-200G for 100 ISOs.

  10. 10 de jul. de 2009 · Using either 1x or 56x, you should get the exact same ISO. Burning, on the other hand, is when speed matters. 1x is by far the best speed to burn at (if you are very patient) but I successfully burn at 4x without read errors on any device. The DVD spec has in it a mechanism to recover from burn errors without requiring a re-burn, some devices ...
