18 de set. de 2024 · Right-click on The Sims 4 desktop shortcut and select 'Properties'. In the 'Target' field, add a space at the end and then type "-dx11". Click 'Apply', then 'OK' to save the changes. Follow the same steps as above to reach the "Command Line Arguments" box (EA App) or the "Set Launch Options" text field (Steam).
Hero. @stormymind Hopefully you're formatting the external drive, not the internal one. If so, that's a good suggestion, and make sure it's using NTFS. If you have any trouble formatting the drive, or you still can't download Sims 4, format it as something else, disconnect it (the proper way), then format it again as NTFS.
There are a few things you could try: Pause and resume the download. Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot. Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports. When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator. View in thread. #2.

14 de mar. de 2023 · If that doesn't help, use Piriform's CCleaner (the free version is fine) to remove all traces of Sims 4 except for the user folder , the one in Documents > Electronic Arts. This folder contains your saves and other user data. The rest can be deleted; the App will download everything else again. I don't work for EA.

If it does, use Revo to uninstall it, and restart your computer. Either way, use Revo to uninstall the EA App as well. Reinstall the App, and create a new folder on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games. Install Sims 4 into that new folder.
