23 de mai. de 2018 · The Matrix redefines reality once again courtesy of Warner's stunning native 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release, which delivers the sci-fi action classic in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.4:1 widescreen. The disc uses 10-bit video depth, a Wider Colour Gamut (WCG) and High Dynamic Range (HDR), and is encoded using the HEVC (H.265) codec.

This new 4K release, as with the release of the first two flms, earns itself a 3D immersive high definition audio track in the form of Dolby Atmos .

It was also somewhat unexpected, with the Studios so doubting the original screenplay by the Wachowskis (the first story in a planned trilogy) that they insisted the siblings incorporate elements from the intended sequels into the film to make it less open-ended, just in case it never developed into a franchise.
