5 de mar. de 2021 · Personally, I would recommend these ways to play for each game: Silent Hill 1: Emulation through Beetle HW/ RetroArch. Silent Hill 2: Using the Enhanced Edition on PC. Silent Hill 3: Emulation through PCSX2. Silent Hill 4: Buying the gog release and emulating the PS2 version through PCSX2.
2 de dez. de 2020 · If you are already primarily a PC gamer, use the enhanced edition. Otherwise I’d sooner recommend the PS2 original, it’s the best experience really. The other upside is you get access to four other silent hill games on one console (3, 4, origins and shattered memories). With PS1 support, you can add SH1 to that list as well.

14 de ago. de 2023 · Silent Hill 2 is considered a classic in the horror genre, but its $130 for the ps2. I don’t have a pc that I could emulate the game on and it seems like the other versions of the game are no good. The caveat though is that I have played silent hill 1 and I didn’t love it.
I haven't played any silent hill game yet and so after watching a few reviews etc I'm gonna start with Silent Hill 2 on the PS2 but unsure if theres any point getting the directors cut if I'm not too bothered with its extra content.
17 de mar. de 2022 · The PC version is as readily available as the PS2 version and the EE mods are easy to install. If you still have a PS2 console, you don’t need an original disc to play on that. Look into Open PS2 Loader. I’ve always used psx2 emulator for pc. I believe you can use kb/m but controller is obviously preferred.

The original PAL version was in a cardboard sleeve, it also included a making-of documentary disc.
