  2. The difference is the Jetta has had a few minor electrical issues whereas the Camry has had absolutely no issues eventhough it's 24 years old. Everything, including the sunroof, works aa it should. The A/C compressor is still the original and it was charged once in 2016. It's still ice cold.

My AC still worked fine but I noticed on hot days and at stoplights my AC would be "head turningly loud". My fans with the AC off were not loud on their own. Turns out the condenser fan was damaged and the rotational imbalance was causing the noise.

But if you are primarily going for reliability get the civic. I am looking into buying a '22 Jetta SE 1.5T and don't know much about their engines and reliability. I'm also also considering a '22 Civic sport….

  8. 31 de ago. de 2020 · TL;DR Had steering wheel shake at 75+ mph. Lower control arms from Black Forrest Industries and ball joints fix it. Old arms vs new. Link to new arms with upgraded bushing. So I bought my 2015 Jetta Tdi Sel Dsg in 10/2018 from Carvana with about 34,000 miles. Had a couple small issues with the car one being a steering wheel shake on the highway.

  9. I’d say the engine is fine, certainly in terms of fuel economy and I would expect it to be as reliable as any other VW engine. The issue, IMO, is the 8 speed automatic gearbox that’s married to that engine. I had a 2019 Golf 1.4t in automatic and ended up hating it. I came from a 2017 Golf 1.8t which as an overall experience was way better.

  10. 4 de set. de 2022 · 2016 Jetta burning oil rapidly. I am not really a car guy, just to go ahead and get that out of the way. But, I have a 2016 Jetta (1.8L TSI) with ~85k miles on it. Over the past half year Ive had problems with it burning through oil.
