Download QZ Tray. Print labels, barcodes, receipts and more from a webpage using HTML, JavaScript and Java.
This guide instructs how to properly download and install QZ Tray so that HTTPS is supported in all browsers on all operating systems. Currently Firefox is the only browser that requires any additional steps.
What is QZ Tray? It's a cross-browser, cross-platform plugin for printing (and talking to serial/usb devices). QZ Tray ships with a sample.html page to demonstrate its features. Download the public key, private key, and certificate. Download the appropriate private key format for your environment. Most environments require PEM , however .NET environments require PKCS#12 ( PFX )
This may be useful when troubleshooting issues with non-raw printer drivers. QZ Tray can substitute the standard printing behavior with this technique by adding a config parameter forceRaw. This parameter has no effect in a Windows environment.
Run QZ Tray as a dedicated service, useful for machines that cannot have QZ Tray installed (such as a Terminal Services/Citrix environment and mobile/sandboxed devices such as iOS, Android, ChromeOS).
