Lobsang Sangay (Tibetan: བློ་བཟང་སེང་གེ་, lit. ' kind-hearted lion ') is a Tibetan-American politician in exile who was Kalon Tripa of the Tibetan Administration in India from 2011 to 2012, and Sikyong of the Central Tibetan Administration in India from 2012 to 2021.

6 de mai. de 2024 · Lobsang Sangay (born 1968, Darjiling, India) is a Tibetan scholar and political leader who became prime minister in the Tibetan Central Administration, the Tibetan government-in-exile, in 2011. He was both the first non-monk and the first person born outside Tibet to hold the position.
Lobsang Sangay ist Jurist und Völkerrechtler sowie Politiker. Er arbeitete an der Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, bis er Ende April 2011 als Nachfolger von Lobsang Tendzin zum Ministerpräsidenten der tibetischen Exilregierung gewählt wurde. Seither bezeichnet er Dharamsala als Zentrum seines Lebens.
