25 de abr. de 2017 · Re: [solved] pacman "force" and "overwrite" options BBCode is a thing, it's under every post box, necrobumping a solved thread for what amounts to be sub-optimal advice (there's a reason --overwrite replaced --force and misusing --overwrite to do the same as a --force) is generally not a good idea.
8 de set. de 2023 · Note that when pacman switches to a new major version all aur helpers breaking is expected behaviour. (Sometimes it takes the authors of the aur helpers weeks to make the necessary adjustments) . Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

15 de set. de 2024 · So i just installed Arch on a PC im planning to host my Discord bot on. When i run pacman -Sy, i get this output: root@hostingpc:~# pacman -Sy. :: Synchronizing package databases... core is up to date. extra is up to date. error: restricting filesystem access failed because the landlock rule for the temporary download directory could not be added!

6 de jan. de 2021 · Yesterday SuperTurboTurkeyPuncher game was updated to v3 (ultrablood patch) and you decide to install thatt (pacman -S superturboturkeypuncher) but the local database was updated a week ago (-Syu) and references v2 of the game (which has a nasty bug and uses a chicken instead of a turkey model) and that is what pacman tries to download.
2 de ago. de 2014 · [SOLVED] pacman aborts at error: failed to synchronize all databases I did an update (-Syu) this morning. After lunch, my maschine froze and I had to do a cold restart.

6 de mai. de 2011 · that means there is some problem in setting of my custom local repository. But I have created necessary db.tar.gz files for corresponding pkg.tar.gz files and mentioned their name in pacman.conf file. I have also placed the name of my repository before other repositories. That is why the pacman command is starting to install wvdial command.
