5 de jun. de 2024 · I do not like James McAvoy’s style—that could be bc of his accent and the writing of his Charles—but his entire showcase of Charles just didn’t do it for me. He’s better in Dark Phoenix tho—just don’t care for him as Charles.
5 de set. de 2021 · James McAvoy improvised an entire film as chilling My Son trailer released. This was how Coherence (2013) was filmed, wasn't it? All the actors improvised all their scenes with the directors giving them hidden roles and secret agendas and then just watching it all play out.

It doesn't feel like he is acting, it feels like he just breathes the character he plays. He is such a rare talent. He was amazing in Split obviously but his acting in a movie called Filth is one of the best acting I have ever seen.

Worst case scenario, we got a shit movie that I can ignore, but best case scenario we get a good performance from James McAvoy, a great actor, from James Watkins, who is a great director with a premise that is tense and interesting, as we already know.

Then they’ll make a disappointing sequel afterward called Aliens or Demons that throws away all the cool shit they could have done. I don't usually even complain about remakes but in this case I really don't see the movie working in a American context.

15 de mar. de 2022 · It's kinda weird but in Deadpool 2, Professor X is played by James McAvoy. If it's set in 2018, it should be Patrick Stewart because in the OG X-Men, in 2004, Charles already looks old.
