Emily Mary Lamb, Lady Cowper (and subsequently Lady Palmerston) was born on 21 April 1787. Her legal father was Peniston, first viscount Melbourne (1748-1819); her natural father was probably George O'Brien Wyndham, third earl of Egremont (1751–1837).

14 de fev. de 2019 · This week's episode introduced Lord Palmerston's wife, Emily. Her full name was Emily Temple, Viscountess Palmerston , but as her marriage to Palmerston was her second, she had previously been Emily Clavering-Cowper, Countess Cowper, and before that, The Honourable Emily Lamb.
Viscount Palmerston was a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created on 12 March 1723 for Henry Temple, who subsequently represented East Grinstead, Bossiney and Weobley in the British House of Commons. He was made Baron Temple, of Mount Temple in the County of Sligo, at the same time, also in the Peerage of Ireland.
