Anne Neville (c. 1408 – 20 September 1480) was a daughter of Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland, and his second wife Lady Joan Beaufort. Her first husband was Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham, and she was an important English noblewoman, landholder and book owner during the fifteenth century.

26 de abr. de 2022 · Anne Neville (b. circa 1384), who married, before 3 February 1413, Sir Gilbert Umfraville, son of Sir Thomas Umfreville (d. 12 February 1391) and Agnes Grey (d. 25 October 1420), daughter of Sir Thomas Grey of Heaton (d. before 22 October 1369). He was slain at the Battle of Baugé in Anjou on 22 March 1421.

She was born at Warwick Castle on 11th June 1456. Marriage. On 12th July 1472 she was married to Richard, Duke of Gloucester (who became Richard III ).
The wedding of Anne Neville and Richard, Duke of Gloucester (later Richard III of England) took place on 12 July 1472, at Westminster Abbey. They lived in Middleham Castle . Upon her marriage, she was called Duchess of Gloucester.
