La Nouvelle-Aquitaine est, depuis le 1er janvier 2016, l'une des 18 régions administratives de France, la première en termes de superficie avec 84 061 km2 . Son chef-lieu est Bordeaux et son point culminant est le pic Palas (2 974 m). Elle compte 6 033 952 habitants en 2020, soit une densité de 71,8 hab./km².
