30 de mar. de 2015 · Answer: Minoxidil is FDA approved for 5% (max) ONLY. It's a common question. Minoxidil is only FDA approved for 2% and 5 %. Not 10%, not 15 %. Not 17.5%. 30 de mai. de 2019 · I agree with Dr. Rassman regarding side effects of 15% minoxidil. Furthermore, traction alopecia, if prolonged, causes a permanent loss of follicles. Minoxidil, at any percentage, will not bring back scarred follicles. Minoxidil may help if started early in the process.Jeff Rapaport MD FAADRealself All-star
2 de jun. de 2021 · If you have switched to topical finasteride and 8 % minoxidil, we need to figure out how well topical finasteride and minoxidil are going to work and we need to give that 4-6 months. If you add Nutafol now, you’ll have no idea if any improvements are from a) Nutrafol b) the topical finasteride/minoxidil or c) some other scalp condition becoming quiet or a telogen effluvium resolving.
27 de mai. de 2019 · Second, there is not clinical data and research studies that show that the combination of oral and topical Finasteride and topical and oral Minoxidil better results vs oral Finasteride and 5% topical Minoxidil only. So, if you don't have any oral Finasteride side effects then you can take it and include 5% topical Minoxidil. Good luck.

18 de out. de 2016 · Answer: Minoxidil application to scalp. Studies have shown that Minoxidil 5% applied to scalp is safe for use twice a day. The possibility of dry skin, eczema, dandruff or allergies to the medication have been reported. Should this occur, stop the medication and see a hair transplant specialist for other options.
