Grace Meng is a Democrat who represents New York's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2013. She is the first Asian American elected to Congress from New York and a former member of the New York State Assembly.

Grace Meng is the first and only Asian American Member of Congress from New York State, and the first female Congressmember from Queens since Geraldine Ferraro. She serves on the House Appropriations Committee and has passed several laws on issues affecting her constituents, such as religious freedom, hate crimes, and broadband access.
