Sir William Hoo (1335–1410) married secondly Eleanor Wingfield, a daughter of Sir John Wingfield of Letheringham in Suffolk. He later served as Captain of the Castle of Oye in the Marches of Picardy, [30] and at his death in 1410, aged 75, was buried at Mulbarton beside his first wife Alice de St Omer.
