All students at Magdalene are assigned a College Tutor as a first point of contact for help, advice, and pastoral support. The Tutors are supported by a pastoral team including the College Nurse, Counsellor, Chaplain, and the staff of the Tutorial Office. Read more.
The normal opening hours for the Tutorial Office are 9:00am – 12:30pm and 1:00pm – 5:00pm. At other times the Tutorial Office can be contacted by email at tutorial@st-edmunds.cam.ac.uk. The welfare team are also based in the tutorial offices. The College Nurse’s details can be found here.
Magdalene College has the advantage of an attractive and convenient location on the banks of the River Cam, with the longest waterfront of all the Cambridge Colleges, and less than 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre. With an intake of around 105 new undergraduates each year it is possible to get to know all your fellow students!
Magdalene College ( / ˈmɔːdlɪn / MAWD-lin) [7] is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. [8] The college was founded in 1428 as a Benedictine hostel, in time coming to be known as Buckingham College, before being refounded in 1542 as the College of St Mary Magdalene .
