Lauren Hough [pronunciation?] (born April 11, 1977) is an American equestrian. She was born in Goshen, New York. She competed in team jumping at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Personal life. Hough is the adopted daughter of equestrian Charles Hough Jr..
A three-time Pan American medalist who is currently ranked among the top 50 riders in the world, Lauren has represented Team USA at the Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games, in addition to seven FEI World Cup Final appearances. Lauren was a member of the 2000 Sydney Olympic squad.
Lauren is a New York Times Best Selling author and essayist. She was born in Berlin, Germany, and raised in seven countries, and Amarillo, Texas. She’s been an Air Force Airman, a green-aproned barista, a bouncer, a bartender, and, for a time, a cable guy.
Biography. Lauren Hough started riding at an early age as the daughter of Champ Hough, a 1952 Olympic bronze medalist in eventing, and Linda Hough, a Hunter Hall of Fame trainer and rider. Her parents ran Sutton Place, a show stable on the west coast where Lauren began riding.
