Elisabeth Volkenrath was the mother of Elizabeth Klein. She was part of SS-Gefolge and a terror from it. She tried to stop Klein from leaving, and thought she had stolen her face. She told Klein about why she was made. (AUDIO: Daleks Among Us)
Elisabeth Volkenrath is based on the real world SS-Gefolge member of the same name. Her DWU character's daughter, however, is entirely fictional. The real Elisabeth Volkenrath was married to Heinz Volkenrath, and had no children.
Elisabeth Volkenrath was a former SS guard at Auschwitz and Belsen who denied any involvement in atrocities against prisoners. She claimed that she only distributed food and parcels, and that she was not present at any gas chamber selections or beatings.
