    The initial applicant assessment ranks all qualified applicants (over 2000 in 2021-2022) numerically according to a composite score derived from the Cumulative and VMCAS Science Grade Point Averages, and the GRE percentile score (if the student chooses to take the GRE and shares scores).

    The second phase of the assessment process is a non-academic evaluation by the Admissions Advisory Committee.     Approximately 400 applicants (approximately 150 Illinois residents and 250 non-residents) will be offered a personal interview to be scheduled in February.
