Inveraray Castle (pronounced / ˌ ɪ n v ə ˈ r ɛər ə / invə-REHRUH or / ˌ ɪ n v ə ˈ r ɛər ɪ / invə-REHREH; Scottish Gaelic Caisteal Inbhir Aora [ˈkʰaʃtʲəl̪ˠ iɲɪɾʲˈɯːɾə]) is a country house near Inveraray in the county of Argyll, in western Scotland, on the shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland's longest sea loch.
Inveraray Castle is first and foremost a family home in which our family has had the great privilege of growing up in. However, its very existence reflects the part played by the Campbells in the rich tapestry of Scottish and British History.

An Inveraray Castle has been standing on the shores of Loch Fyne since the 1400s, although the impressive castle we know today was inspired by a sketch by Vanbrugh, the architect of Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard in the 1700s.
