William Ray Price Jr. (born January 30, 1952) is a former judge of the Supreme Court of Missouri and its longest-serving Supreme Court member, having served from April 7, 1992, when he was appointed to the Court by then-Governor John Ashcroft, until August 1, 2012, when he retired from the bench.

    Price received his B.A. in Religion from the University of Iowa in 1974 and his J.D.from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1978.

    From 1978 to 1992, Price worked with the Lathrop Norquistlaw firm, first as an associate and later as a partner.

Judge William Ray Price Jr. was born January 30, 1952, in Fairfield, Iowa.[i] He was educated in Keokuk, Iowa, public schools before attending the University of Iowa,[ii] from which he earned a bachelor of arts in religion.[iii] He studied ministry, on a Rockefeller fellowship, at Yale University School of Divinity from 1974 to 1975.
