Following the release, Ease Up writer Mackenzie Wagner was able to talk with Allen about creating solo music for the first time, preparing for a tour again, and the importance of mental health.
31 de mar. de 2022 · Between being a freelance artist and drummer for indie-rock group Hippo Campus, Whistler Allen keeps himself busy with creating his own music. Though Allen has mostly kept himself out of the limelight, he recently debuted a solo EP titled Small Yard last November.
Whistler Allen is known for To All the Boys: Always and Forever (2021), Conan (2010) and Front Row Boston (2014).

Hippo Campus was formed when Jake Luppen (lead vocals/guitar), Nathan Stocker (lead guitar/vocals), Zach Sutton (bass/keyboard), and Whistler Isaiah Allen (drums/vocals) [8] met at the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists where they studied jazz, and Luppen trained in opera.

23 de fev. de 2022 · Nathan Stocker and Whistler Allen called in the middle of rehearsal. Which begged the question, "How the hell are they going to perform this album?" Their newest, "LP3," is a tight 10 songs, but each one is different, unexpected, and seemingly impossible for a group of five.
