A daffy piece of French fantastique that taps into one of my favourite plot lines in science fiction, that of the Quiet Earth. Here, it's a strange ray that completely immobilises the great city of Paris bar a few lucky individuals that happened to escape its gaze.
Crazy Ray(1924), also named Paris qui Dort was an experimental film in the sense that it experimented with one specific aspect of film and displayed how the manipulation of that aspect affected the characters of the film.
