Steyning (/ ˈ s t ɛ n ɪ ŋ / STEN-ing) is a town and civil parish in the Horsham district of West Sussex, England. It is located at the north end of the River Adur gap in the South Downs , four miles (6.4 km) north of the coastal town of Shoreham-by-Sea .

A thriving market town. A Beautiful Place to Visit. Steyning is a small town surrounded by the South Downs, just 6 miles from Shoreham-by-Sea, 8 miles from Worthing, 12 miles from Brighton and 13 miles from Horsham. Sadly, as with most other small villages and towns there is no longer a railway service, the closest being at Shoreham-by-Sea.
