Robert Tibshirani FRS FRSC (born July 10, 1956) is a professor in the Departments of Statistics and Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University. He was a professor at the University of Toronto from 1985 to 1998.
Robert Tibshirani's main interests are in applied statistics, biostatistics, and data mining. He is co-author of the books Generalized Additive Models (with T. Hastie), An Introduction to the Bootstrap (with B. Efron), and Elements of Statistical Learning (with T. Hastie and J. Friedman).
