Paul Kagame (Gitarama, 23 de outubro de 1957) é um político ruandense e atual presidente de Ruanda desde 2000. Kagame nasceu na cidade de Gitarama, na região central do país e migrou com sua família para Uganda, refugiando-se de ataques sofridos pelos tutsis, sua etnia, perpetrados por hutus.
Paul Kagame (/ k ə ˈ ɡ ɑː m eɪ / ⓘ kə-GAH-may; born 23 October 1957) is a Rwandan politician and former military officer who has been the President of Rwanda since 2000. He was previously a commander of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), a rebel armed force which invaded Rwanda in 1990.
Paul Kagame is the President of the Republic of Rwanda. He served as Chair of the AU from 2018 to 2019 and chaired the East African Community from 2018-2021. President Kagame continues to lead the AU Institutional reforms and serves as the AU Champion for Domestic Health Financing.
