Luís Filipe I ( Paris, 6 de outubro de 1773 – Surrey, 26 de agosto de 1850 ), apelidado de "o Rei Cidadão" e "o Rei Burguês", foi Rei dos Franceses de 1830 até sua abdicação em 1848. Seu pai era Luís Filipe II, Duque de Orleães, que havia apoiado a Revolução Francesa e mesmo assim acabou guilhotinado durante o Período do Terror.

Monsieur Philippe I, Duke of Orléans (21 September 1640 – 9 June 1701) was the younger son of King Louis XIII of France and Anne of Austria, and the younger brother of King Louis XIV. He was the founder of the House of Orléans, a cadet branch of the ruling House of Bourbon.

Early life. Philip was born c. 1052 at Champagne-et-Fontaine, the son of Henry I and his wife Anne of Kiev. [2] . Unusual for the time in Western Europe, his name was of Greek origin, being bestowed upon him by his mother. In 1059 Henry I had Philip crowned in Reims at the age of seven.
