Le Pére Goriot (O Pai Goriot, na edição da Comédia Humana organizada por Paulo Rónai) [1] é um romance de Honoré de Balzac. O livro também foi traduzido em Portugal por António de Sousa , em 1969, com o título O Tio Goriot .
Le Père Goriot est un roman d’ Honoré de Balzac, commencé à Saché en 1834, dont la publication commence dans la Revue de Paris et qui paraît en 1835 en librairie. Il fait partie des Scènes de la vie privée de La Comédie humaine 1.
Originally published in serial form during the winter of 1834–1835, Le Père Goriot is widely considered Balzac's most important novel. [1] It marks the first serious use by the author of characters who had appeared in other books, a technique that distinguishes Balzac's fiction.
