Kurt Gerron (11 May 1897 – 30 October 1944) was a German Jewish actor and film director. He and his wife, Olga, were murdered in the Holocaust.
Kurt Gerron (1897-1944) was a German-born Jewish performer who starred in The Blue Angel and directed a Nazi propaganda film in Theresienstadt. He was arrested by the SS and murdered in Auschwitz in 1944.

Kurt Gerron (eigentlich Kurt Gerson) ( 11. Mai 1897 in Berlin – 30. Oktober [1] 1944 im Konzentrationslager Auschwitz) war ein deutscher Schauspieler, Sänger und Regisseur. Er wurde als Jude von den Nationalsozialisten verfolgt, interniert und ermordet.
Kurt Gerron was a successful actor and director in interwar Germany, but was expelled from the industry by the Nazis in 1933. He survived the Terezin ghetto, where he established a cabaret troupe, but was deported to Auschwitz and killed in 1944.

Kurt Gerron. Actor: The Blue Angel. Gerron fled to France (because he was Jewish), then settled in Amsterdam in 1933. He was arrested by the SS in 1943 and was sent to Theresienstadt in 1944 to direct a staged documentary intended to persuade world public opinion that Jews were well treated in concentration camps.
