John Michael Tedder, 2nd Baron Tedder, FRSE FRSC (4 July 1926 – 18 February 1994), was the Purdie Professor of Chemistry at St. Andrews University, Scotland.

He served in the Royal Flying Corps during World War One and thereafter pursued a career in the air forces which eventually saw him becoming commander of the RAF Far Eastern Forces in the 1930s.

Há 3 dias · He became Marshal of the RAF and Chief of the Air Staff and was created Baron Tedder. He died at his home in Surrey on 3rd June 1967 and his ashes lie in St Clement Danes church in the Strand (the RAF church in London). His son Arthur was killed in 1940 and his son John Michael succeeded as 2nd Baron Tedder. Further reading
