Richard John Bingham, 7th Earl of Lucan (born 18 December 1934 – disappeared 8 November 1974, declared dead 3 February 2016), commonly known as Lord Lucan, was a British peer and an Anglo-Irish aristocrat, the eldest son of George Bingham, 6th Earl of Lucan, and Kaitlin Dawson.
She claimed that her estranged husband, John Bingham, 7th Earl of Lucan, had broken into her apartment and bludgeoned her children’s nanny Sandra Rivett to death, before viciously attacking Veronica herself. Then, he disappeared. Lady Lucan was left in the midst of one of the most well-known murder mysteries of the last century.
