John Scot Barrowman MBE (born 11 March 1967) is a Scottish-American actor, author, presenter, singer and comic book writer. He is known for his roles as Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who (2005–10; 2020–21) and spin-off Torchwood , (2006–11) and as Malcolm Merlyn in the Arrowverse (2012–19).

Nascido em Glasgow, na Escócia, ele se mudou para os Estados Unidos em 1975 com sua família, onde posteriormente estudou artes cênicas na Alliant International University em San Diego, Califórnia.
