Wang Chung is an English new wave band, formed in London in 1980 by Nick Feldman, Jack Hues and Darren Costin. The name Wang Chung is Chinese (黃鐘, pinyin: huáng zhōng; Wade–Giles: huang chung), meaning "yellow bell" in English, and is the first note in the Chinese classical music scale.
“Hold Back the Tears,” “Ti Na Na,” “China,” and “Rising in the East” are the most popular songs by Wang Chung from the album Huang Chung. Points on the Curve, issued in 1984, marked the band’s first album under the moniker Wang Chung.
