Earl De La Warr ( / ˈdɛləwɛər / ⓘ DEL-ə-wair) is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain. It was created in 1761 for John West, 7th Baron De La Warr.
The Earl was a war correspondent during the Boer War and returned in triumph to Bexhill in 1900 after being injured rescuing a wounded soldier. During the First World War he obtained a Royal Naval commission and died of fever at Messina in 1915.
