Edward E. Clark (born May 4, 1930) is an American lawyer and politician who ran for governor of California in 1978, and for president of the United States as the nominee of the Libertarian Party in the 1980 presidential election.
2 de fev. de 2020 · Clark was a delegate to the Texas Constitutional Convention of 1845, a member of the first state House of Representatives, and a senator in the Second Legislature. He served on the staff of Gen. J. Pinckney Henderson in the Mexican War and received a citation for bravery in the battle of Monterrey.
He was a member of the Texas Constitutional Convention of 1845, and served in the First Texas House of Representatives and the Second Texas Senate. He went on to become Secretary of State for Texas from 1853 to 1857, was appointed Texas State Commissioner of Claims in 1858, and served as Lieutenant Governor from 1859 until 1861.
